How Feedly Makes Following Blogs Easier 🤓
This week I learned about a tool new to me called Feedly. Before using Feedly, it was a bit difficult to follow the blogs that I wanted to. I could open a bunch of tabs, make bookmarks, or just leave blogs open, but it never felt very smooth or efficient. I just assumed that I didn't like learning information from multiple blogs because of this. However, I downloaded Feedly to try it out and it puts all the blogs in one place. The updated ones show up automatically, and it made everything more organized overall.
This actually has a huge impact on motivation. When information is scattered, or difficult to find, it makes it overwhelming for me. I like information to be clear and laid out in a way that makes it easy to find the things you need. Having Feedly makes a central feed for blogs that makes it easier to follow. You don't have to waste time looking around and clicking through different bookmarks to find something you need.
Online learning isn't just about the content and information though, it is also about the system. If the system isn't good, learning will feel harder and even stressful. I like how Feedly doesn't add more information, it just organizes what already exists. For me, having things organized in any capacity makes it so much easier to focus and follow. RSS doesn't reduce the information at all, it just makes things more manageable. That difference turns blog reading from something stressful into something I actually want to keep up with.
(& no, I am not sponsored by Feedly!) 🤭
Hailey, I was feeling so overwhelmed with the blogging too! I really liked this feature from Feedly being able to group each blog and see the new things being posted without opening the blog url file every time. I'm glad this website made such a big impact to your blogging experience as it did to mine! Can't wait to see what other websites there are to help our organization!
